Job summary

Royal Electric Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator – Building Group for Sacramento, CA or Dallas, TX. You will read plans, develop bids, and negotiate budgets to bridge gaps between estimates and actual costs.

You will lead takeoffs, coordinate with Jr Estimators and vendors, and represent the company in meetings with general contractors and owners to deliver comprehensive bid packages for electrical projects ranging from $2M to $50M.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Field experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals to complete project checklists/spreadsheets.
• Review takeoff process with Jr Estimator and ensure project checklists are created.
• Compile counts/quantities to create BOMs for RFQ processes.
• Enter counts/quantities into estimating software.
• Review RFQs from material vendors and subcontractors for scope discrepancies.
• Manage subcontractor outreach including good faith efforts.
• Represent Royal Electric in meetings with vendors, GC's, Owners, and subs.
• Prepare and organize bid packages and file management throughout estimates.
• Assist with final bid review and hand-off to project management.
