Job summary

Royal Electric Company is hiring a Sr. Estimator for its Building Group with openings in Dallas, TX or Sacramento, CA. You will develop bids, analyze data to close gaps between estimates and costs, and present estimate documentation.

The role involves coordinating with vendors, General Contractors, and Owners to ensure accurate takeoffs and competitive bids. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related estimating experience, a track record in bid management, and strong communication skills to lead

Qualifications

5+ years of related experience in estimating or bidding for electrical projects.
Experience bidding Commercial/Residential projects desirable.
Able to develop clear scope letters and exclusions for bids.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specs, and proposals to complete bid checklists and spreadsheets.
Review takeoff process with Jr Estimator and ensure checklists are created.
Create BOMs and enter quantities into estimating software for RFQ responses.
Review RFQs from vendors/Subcontractors for scope and price accuracy.
Prepare and organize bid packages and hand off to project management after award.
Coach Jr Estimators to meet key results and deadlines.
