Job summary

Royal Electric is seeking a Sr. Electrical Estimator in the Building Group. The role involves reading plans, developing bids, negotiating budgets, and presenting estimate documentation to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs.

Essential duties include takeoff analysis, BOM creation, RFQ review, subcontractor outreach, and coordinating bid packages. The position requires leadership of junior staff and collaboration across teams for a smooth transition from estimate to project launch.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of related experience; field experience is a plus.
• Experience with Commercial/Residential projects.
• Experience bidding Public Works projects.
• Alternative Delivery method experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, etc. to complete checklists/spreadsheets for a project.
• Review takeoff process with Jr Estimator and ensure checklists are created.
• Compile counts/quantities to create BOMs for RFQ.
• Enter counts/quantities into estimating software.
• Review RFQs from vendors and subs for scope discrepancies.
• Manage subcontractor outreach and ensure alignment with scope.
• Represent Royal Electric in meetings with vendors, GC, Owners, and subs.
• Prepare and organize bid packages and file management throughout estimates.
• Assist with final bid review and hand-off to project management.
