Job summary

Zero-Emission Grid (ZEG) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and expand its growing HV/MV design services. This hands-on leadership role requires developing people, overseeing complex technical work, and driving disciplined project execution across a distributed team in the US, Canada, and India.

You will work with the VP of Electrical Engineering to establish standards, processes, and capabilities, own project delivery, client engagement, and engineering excellence while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; postgraduate degree preferred but not required.
• 7–14+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience with heavy responsibility for electrical design and deliverables.
• Experience delivering electrical design services for EPCs, developers, utilities, or asset owners.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and reviewing complex technical deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NESC, IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed engineering team across the US, Canada, and India.
• Establish and improve engineering standards, workflows, design practices, and quality control processes.
• Support hiring, onboarding, resource planning, and professional development in line with backlog and growth.
• Establish clear expectations for technical quality, project ownership, communication, and performance.
• Build trusted client relationships and support project delivery and development.
