Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support water sector projects across locations, with a focus on design and execution of electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and ~10 years of related experience, with PE preferred. Office and field collaboration, client interaction, and coordination with teams are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or EIT with PE plans to pursue.
• Water/wastewater facility design experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design tasks on assigned projects under minimal supervision, including drawings, reports, presentations, and calculations.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for all project sizes; support marketing and proposals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and consultants in preparation of project specifications.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external teams.
• Provide technical guidance; apply advanced electrical engineering knowledge to complex issues.
• Contribute to development of new electrical design standards and specs.
• Possibly supervise other project resources and help set budgets/schedules.
• Act as engineer of record for own work and for non-licensed staff.
