Job summary

AEVEX Aerospace seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer 3 to lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced electrical systems for unmanned platforms. You will own major tasks, mentor junior engineers, and drive integration across avionics, embedded, RF, and power disciplines.

You will review PCB designs end‑to‑end, create wiring diagrams, and ensure system reliability and safety in a fast‑paced environment with DoD‑related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 6–9 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience leading teams and collaborating with cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test electrical systems for UAVs and related platforms.
• Review PCB designs from schematic to layout and validate with tests.
• Lead and mentor engineers and technicians; manage project tasks.
• Develop wiring diagrams, schematics, and control systems.
• Collaborate with avionics, embedded systems and RF teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety guidelines.
• Plan installations, maintenance, and field support for assigned systems.
• Maintain documentation and support production during transitions.
• Stay current with new technologies and best practices in EE.
