Job summary

AV is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. The role involves detailed design, testing, and documentation of electronic and mechanical components, with emphasis on reliability, safety, and sustainability.

The candidate will work with avionics, embedded systems, and RF links, supporting Flight Test operations. A strong background in HDL programming, C/C++, PCB design, and UAV subsystems is required, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with office software and productivity tools.
• Experienced using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience in RF, embedded control, FPGA.
• Experience with power electronics and battery technology.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Knowledge of LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB.
• Some travel up to 30% for flight tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAD/CAE software and perform engineering tasks for electronic systems.
• Coordinate manufacturing, installation, testing and documentation to meet specs.
• Inspect installations and ensure conformance to design and safety standards.
• Work with avionics, embedded systems and RF links; support Flight Test operations.
• Troubleshoot complex systems; document designs with drawings and descriptions.
• Contribute to budgets and cost estimates; develop design solutions and alternatives.
• Provide technical supervision across disciplines; may lead small teams or projects.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability of products.
