Job summary

AV is seeking a Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex circuit design for UAV systems. You’ll work on RF, FPGA, battery management, and power distribution while guiding cross‑functional teams through design and testing.

The role emphasizes hands‑on engineering, design reviews, and collaboration with avionics, embedded, and flight test groups. A strong background in aerospace‑focused electronics and Altium design is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 12–15 years of R&D experience; aerospace experience preferred.
• Expert in circuit design including RF, embedded control, FPGA, power distribution, and video.
• Advanced knowledge of LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI.

Responsibilities

• Lead electronic engineering activities on R&D projects for UAVs.
• Inspect installations to ensure conformance with specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with avionics, embedded systems, and RF teams; support flight test operations.
• Document designs with drawings and descriptions; estimate costs and resources.
• Mentor small teams; provide cross-disciplinary technical supervision.
