Job summary
AEVEX Aerospace in Dayton, OH seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer 3 to design, develop, and maintain advanced electrical systems for UAVs and related platforms. You will lead projects, mentor teammates, and collaborate with avionics, RF, and mechanical teams to deliver reliable hardware and embedded software components.
You will review PCB designs, select components, and ensure compliance with military and industry standards while driving test, integration, and field support to production
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 6–9 years of experience.
- Expert knowledge of common industry protocols and embedded systems.
- Proficiency with ECAD tools and PCB layout, and strong leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and test electrical systems for UAVs and related platforms.
- Review PCB designs and select components based on specs and reliability.
- Lead teams of engineers, technicians, and clients to resolve issues.
- Plan installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot problems and provide production support.
- Develop quality control processes and stay current with new technologies.
