Job summary

AEVEX Aerospace in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer 2 to design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for UAVs and related platforms. You will work across embedded systems, power electronics, RF devices, batteries, and avionics, contributing to both R&D and production efforts.

The role requires hands-on circuit design, verification, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, safety, and performance in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• PE certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test electrical systems for UAVs/UGVs/USVs across R&D and production.
• Create and maintain wiring diagrams and schematics with version control.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and improve system performance.
• Plan installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
