Job summary

Eversource Energy in Connecticut seeks a Lead Engineer to oversee Distribution Engineering, supervise engineers, and drive capacity increases, capital planning, and system reliability enhancements. The role may be based in Waterford CT or Madison CT with hybrid work expectations.

You will coordinate lifecycle planning, prioritize work, provide technical guidance during normal and emergency operations, and manage projects from inception through completion. Travel between MA/CT/NH may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 8–10 years of engineering experience in the electrical utility sector, supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee distribution engineering activities and optimize asset performance.
• Supervise engineers, coach staff, and manage project portfolios and budgets.
• Develop and implement Life Cycle Plan; coordinate with System Planning on process integration.
• Provide technical guidance during normal and emergency operations and support outage restoration.
