Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electric Power Systems preferred.
• Five+ years of planning, design, and operations experience for distribution systems.
• Registered Professional Engineer in CT/MA/NH desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify distribution system problems and lead planning studies.
• Develop 2-5 year and 5+ year distribution plans.
• Build, maintain, and validate distribution models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups on long-range planning for PV/EV/storage.
• Prepare contingency studies (N-1/N-2).
• Propose new distribution substation and feeders.
• Perform voltage and power factor studies.
• Lead load forecast studies for planning.
• Coordinate with other departments for economic analyses.
• Recommend project priorities for capital construction.
• Conduct studies to support facilities and regulatory filings.
• Prepare distribution documentation/testimony for regulatory filings.
• Communicate with distribution customers.
• Provide leadership and guidance to engineers.
• Present recommendations to management.
• Represent department on committees.
• Recommend changes to criteria and standards.
