Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Lead Engineer to lead the development, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the transmission and distribution system. The role involves supervising engineers, evaluating failures, and ensuring high-quality, safe and reliable service across MA/CT/NH with travel as needed.

The position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or related, eight years in the electrical utility sector, and supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Eight years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; approves time and conducts performance reviews.
• Assigns, prioritizes and directs work performed by engineers/designers.
• Develops Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizon and for ongoing projects.
• Ensures design and specification of additions/modifications/replacements to transmission and distribution systems are completed accurately and on time.
• Provides technical support and direction during normal and emergency situations.
• Accountable for root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Responsible for evaluation and selection of technology and equipment for the system.
