Eversource Energy is hiring a Lead Engineer for the Distribution Engineering Team in Connecticut. The role focuses on capacity increases, capital planning, system reliability, and ERP coordination, with potential on-call responsibilities.

Based in Waterford or Madison, CT, the position combines technical leadership with strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 8–10 years in utility engineering, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• Eight to ten years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry. Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages, coaches, develops and reviews performance of engineers and other staff.
• Develops infrastructure strategy, operating philosophy and technical basis for asset renewal decisions.
• Collaborates with System Planning on process integration (Bulk Power Substations).
• Responsible for cost and performance of certain assets including reliability analysis and monitoring of equipment condition.
• Develops and manages Life Cycle Plan activities over a multi-year horizon.
• Develops and manages a preventive maintenance optimization program.
• Develops preliminary engineering designs and details as necessary.
• Coordinates Life Cycle Plan work across service areas and with Electric Operations.
