Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is actively seeking a Senior Consultant, Electrical Engineer for our Baltimore, MD office. You will support the Mid-Atlantic Transportation Team on utilities, substations, and power systems design across public and private sector projects.

You will perform advanced electrical design tasks, develop plans and cost estimates, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring QA/QC and compliance with NFPA 70 and other standards. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5–7 years of post-education electrical engineering experience on large capital projects.
• Engineer in Training Certification required.
• Experience with operations/project controls for reporting and proposals.
• Proficient in electrical design, codes, and construction standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to lead junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Design of single line and three-line diagrams, bus arrangements, grounding grids, and protection schemes.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates; coordinate with owners and other disciplines.
• Develop electrical calculations for loads, short circuits, and coordination studies.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to explain findings and recommendations.
• Lead and guide junior engineers; ensure QA/QC and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multi-site projects.
