Job summary

Westwood Professional Services in Westminster, CO seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to direct electrical design for commercial and utility-scale solar projects. You will manage budgets, lead technical deliverables, and coordinate with civil, geotechnical, structural teams and clients.

Preferred background includes NEC/NESC knowledge, PV/wind design, ETAP/PowerFactory experience, NABCEP or PE license, and 4–10 years in electrical distribution and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Engineering.
• NEC/NESC knowledge and ability to read/prepare drawings.
• 4–10 years in electrical design for distribution/generation projects.
• Experience with budgets, proposals, change orders, and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
• Manage design budgets and ensure timely deliverables.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, structural teams and clients.
• Oversee staff performing calculations and studies (short circuit, load flow, voltage drop).
• Respond to RFIs, submittals, and marketing materials for electrical work.
