Job summary

Shell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical Technology Engineer) to join its Geismar team in Louisiana. You will serve as the senior technical authority on electrical engineering, guiding Production, Maintenance, and Projects, ensuring compliance with NEC/NFPA 70E and company standards.

You will mentor engineers, lead complex electrical issues, and drive reliability improvements across the site, with a focus on safe, compliant, and efficient operations and asset integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE licensure is a plus and highly regarded.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis software (ETAP) including short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, load flow.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for medium- and high-voltage power distribution systems.
• Act as the technical authority for electrical system design, operation and troubleshooting.
• Support Production and Maintenance teams in resolving reliability issues.
• Lead or support root cause analyses for electrical incidents.
• Provide technical assurance for changes and capital projects.
