Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Baton Rouge to lead the Electrical Department and drive project execution for heavy industrial projects across the Gulf Coast. You will report to the Director of Engineering and manage staff, schedules, and client relationships.

The role requires ten years of industrial electrical experience, PE licensure in LA, and strong leadership in a consulting environment; hybrid onsite work is possible with market-competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana is required.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Electrical Department activities and resources.
• Recruit, hire, and develop staff; set goals and conduct reviews.
• Prepare and manage engineering proposals, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Oversee multiple electrical projects, ensuring client satisfaction, budget and schedule.
• Develop equipment data sheets, RFQs, and technical recommendations.
• Support regional business development as a technical liaison.
