Job summary

DB Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team, offering remote work in the United States. You will support built-environment projects with expertise in electrical distribution up to 15 kV, PV/solar, Microgrids, and emergency power.

A PE license and 5+ years of AEC experience are required. You will develop basis of design documents, oversee commissioning, mentor junior staff, and help craft proposals while maintaining client relationships and delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• 5+ years of AEC experience in large commercial buildings or substation electrical systems.
• Ability to read and evaluate BOD documents.
• Proficiency with Excel, MS Office, data analysis and visualization tools as well as the ability to master new software applications and tools when needed.
• Excellent project management, communication, report writing and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring and supervising junior employees and project teams.
• US residency and authorization to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality work with accountability for projects and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as primary contact for clients.
• Serve as an electrical engineering resource for design and review.
• Provide expertise in electrical distribution (600V and below), campus primary distribution (up to 15 kV), emergency power, telecom, low voltage systems, PV/solar, and Microgrids.
• Conduct client site visits and peer review of documentation, document issues, and provide recommendations for correction.
• Develop and review basis of design documents as needed.
• Oversee commissioning of electrical and lighting systems and equipment when needed.
• Measure operational efficiencies and document opportunities for energy conservation and performance optimization.
• Assist in writing and maintaining accurate, dynamic project plans including scoping, proposals, tracking progress, and managing resources.
