Job summary

ENFRA seeks a senior Electrical Professional Engineer III to lead complex electrical design for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses. You will coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, sign/seal documents, and ensure constructible, code-compliant solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, review power distribution, renewable energy, storage, and controls integration, and collaborate with clients and utilities to deliver reliable, efficient systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems
• Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents and ensuring quality standards
• Lead and review designs for solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP plants with guidance
• Perform and review calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short-circuit and breaker coordination studies
• Manage electrical scope including schedule, budget, and deliverables
• Supervise planning for field investigations and site visits; may review 3D laser scanning plans
• Resolve highly complex technical and coordination challenges
• Provide technical oversight and review of junior staff work
• Perform work independently with broad authority
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and external stakeholders
• Support existing client relationships through technical input, proposals, and client engagement
