Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a senior Electrical Professional Engineer III to lead design coordination and delivery of complex electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses.

This role oversees multidisciplinary design efforts, mentors junior engineers, and ensures code-compliant power distribution, renewable energy, storage, and controls integration within ENFRA’s design‑build model, delivering reliable, energy-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems.
• Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents and ensuring quality standards.
• Lead and review designs for solar energy, battery storage, fuel cell, and CHP with guidance from senior engineers.
• Perform and review calculations for interconnects, arc flash, and short-circuit studies.
• Manage electrical scope including schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Plan field investigations and site visits; review 3D laser scanning plans.
• Resolve highly complex technical and coordination challenges.
• Provide technical oversight and review of junior staff work.
• Perform work independently with broad authority.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and external stakeholders.
• Support existing client relationships through technical input and proposals.
