Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer III to lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses.

You will oversee multidisciplinary design efforts, ensure code-compliant and constructible solutions, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with clients and utilities to ensure performance, reliability, and energy efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems.
• Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents and ensuring quality standards.
• Lead and review designs for solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP plants with guidance from senior engineers.
• Perform and review calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short-circuit and breaker coordination studies.
• Manage electrical scope including schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Supervise planning for field investigations and site visits; review plans for 3D laser scanning.
• Resolve highly complex technical and coordination challenges.
• Provide technical oversight and review of junior staff work.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and external stakeholders.
• Support existing client relationships through technical input and proposals.
