Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer III to serve as a senior technical leader responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of complex electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses.

The PE III leads multidisciplinary design efforts, ensures code-compliant, constructible solutions, mentors junior engineers, and oversees design quality, permitting support, procurement, and performance goals within ENFRA’s design-build model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems.
• Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents and ensuring quality standards.
• Lead and review designs for solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP with guidance from senior engineers.
• Perform and review calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short‑circuit and breaker coordination studies.
• Manage electrical scope including schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Supervise planning for field investigations and site visits; may review 3D laser scanning plans.
• Provide technical oversight and review of junior staff work.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and external stakeholders.
• Support existing client relationships through technical input, proposals, and client engagement.
