Job summary

Ring Inc is seeking a senior electrical engineering leader to own the design of next-generation modular power integration skids for utility-scale and data center deployments. You will coordinate across Electrical, Mechanical, Software Controls, and Supply Chain to translate architectures into mass-manufacturable, production-ready assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of direct experience productizing complex, multi-disciplinary industrial systems.
• Deep technical knowledge of power conversion, MV transformers, central inverters, switchgear, and high-current busbar/cabling systems.
• Experience driving engineering lifecycle of modular hardware, cost trade-offs, and supplier scaling.
• Strong cross-functional leadership translating requirements into manufacturing-ready designs.
• Experience directing third-party design and CM partners from concept to volume production.
• Knowledge of grid interconnection standards, protection schemes, and safety/compliance (IEEE 1547, UL 1741, NFPA 70/NEC).

Responsibilities

• Take full engineering ownership of next-generation modular power integration skids, translating system architectures into production-ready assets.
• Define and own skid-level power topology for utility-scale and data center sites.
• Own detailed skid engineering decisions: hardware selection, layout, thermal management, environmental protection, manufacturability, field serviceability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to extract, synthesize, and freeze system requirements.
• Direct and manage third-party design firms and external manufacturers as the main technical contact.
• Drive scalability and production readiness of larger skid configurations with suppliers.
• Own the skid's cost target and drive design-to-cost trade-offs.
• Develop a site design configuration tool for optimal inverter/skid configuration.
