Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Dallas/Fort Worth office seeks an Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join the Power Generation team. The role focuses on design and delivery of power generation facilities, including fossil, hydrogen, solar, nuclear, energy storage, and decarbonization projects.

You will lead electrical engineering efforts, develop P&IDs, assess lifecycle costs, and collaborate with clients, jurisdictions, and contractors to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant engineering design experience in Power Generation.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering or a relevant degree is required.
• Experience with large power plant life cycle, feasibility studies, bids, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, work plans, and schedules for power projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with clients and external partners regularly.
• Lead electrical engineering efforts for gas, coal, and other power generation projects.
• Design systems related to air quality, effluent guidelines, piping, and instrumentation.
