Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to lead design for complex projects. You will perform complete electrical and instrumentation design, develop 15kV/5kV equipment specs, and provide on-site startup support under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC current version and applicability to projects.
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations.
• Ability to size wiring, conduits and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations.
• Ability to route conduit and cable tray.
• Ability to determine motor control center loading.
• Ability to develop equipment specifications for 15kV/5kV gear.
• Ability to develop installation specifications.
• Ability to lead small teams and deliver on commitments.
• Professional engineering certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete electrical and instrumentation design for complex assignments.
• Produce 15kV/5kV equipment specifications and installation details.
• Develop conceptual layouts, cost studies, and preliminary designs.
• Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
• Coordinate with discipline leads and other staff to ensure on-time delivery.
