Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an experienced electrical drafting professional for industrial projects in Mobile, AL. The role requires 8+ years of relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design, with a strong emphasis on NEC compliance and installation detailing.

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required, and certification is not required at this level. You will produce electrical installation documents, coordinate with the team, and provide on-site support

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NEC standards and calculations.
• Ability to size wire, conduit and protection for lighting/power.
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations and load assessments.
• Create accurate electrical installation documents from vendor drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce installation details, MCC diagrams, lighting, power and instrumentation plans.
• Provide on-site startup support and guidance to junior drafters.
• Communicate project scope and design criteria to task teams.
• Coordinate work activities with staff and discipline lead.
• Produce 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specifications with review.
• Route conduit and cable tray and ensure proper installation documentation.
