Job summary

Exemplar Global in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to lead electrical design on commercial and institutional projects. This hybrid role requires one in-office day per week, with four days remote, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with architects, MEPS, and clients.

You will design power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems, oversee QA/QC, and drive projects from design through construction for award-winning buildings.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in good standing.
• Extensive experience in commercial building design.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes.
• Experience with QA/QC and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Design power distribution, lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Run QA/QC and manage projects from design through construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and plumbing engineers, contractors and clients.

Skills

Active PE license

10+ years in commercial buildingdesign

Experience with architects in U.S. MEP

Strong knowledge of electrical codes
