Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Senior Electrical Professional Engineer III to lead design, coordination, and delivery of complex electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses. You will mentor engineers, manage scopes, and ensure performance, reliability, and energy efficiency in ENFRA’s design‑build model.

The role requires a PE license, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to oversee multidisciplinary designs from concept through implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems.
• Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents and ensuring quality standards.
• Leads and reviews designs solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHPs with guidance from senior engineers.
• Performs and reviews calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short-circuit and breaker coordination studies.
• Manages electrical scope including schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Supervises planning for field investigations and site visits; may review plans for 3D laser scanning.
• Resolves highly complex technical and coordination challenges.
• Provides technical oversight and review of junior staff work.
• Performs work independently with broad authority.
• Mentors and develops junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinates with clients, utilities, and external stakeholders.
• Supports existing client relationships through technical input, proposals, and client engagement.
