Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience, onsite 100%. The role focuses on designing test equipment interfaces and performing multi-disciplinary engineering within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate.

Candidates must hold a STEM degree and be eligible for U.S. government DoD security clearance (Secret). Proficiency with Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic, and test instruments is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree with five years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience with electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing.
• Experience with Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic.
• Experience with test equipment including Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, and Power Meters.
• Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon products within the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop engineering and production test systems, interface adapters, cabling, drawings, schematics, and circuit designs.
• Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects and resolve issues in development and implementation of test products.
• Collaborate within team or independently to ensure successful test product outcomes.
