Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a senior electrical engineer to design, test and troubleshoot electrical components, equipment and systems for defense and aerospace applications. You will work onsite on challenging projects that span power generation, transmission, and control systems.

Requires STEM degree and at least 5 years of hands-on experience, proficiency with tools like Altium and Xilinx Vivado, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Remote work is not offered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience using electrical engineering design and analysis tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic, Xilinx Vivado, or equivalent.
• Experience using test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Remote work is not possible.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Produces products according to specifications, using cost effective and efficient means.
• Analyzes and evaluates new or improved electronic components.
• Includes power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems and servomechanisms.
