Job summary

Eight Sleep, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in San Francisco to bring new products to market. You’ll own significant decisions, combining Arduino prototyping with PCB design for mass production and collaboration with global suppliers.

You will contribute to innovative sleep-tech hardware, leveraging a strong background in mixed analog/digital systems and Altium-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing mixed analog and digital systems for consumer electronics or similar applications.
• Highly proficient with ECAD packages, especially Altium.
• Expertise with SMT and flex PCB manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of DOE, root cause, statistical analysis and other quality measuring techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design consumer electronic devices incorporating microcontrollers, SoCs, wireless transceivers, motor drivers, sensors, audio, and LED drivers.
• Lead electrical system development including schematic capture, layout, bring-up and characterization, production test infrastructure, and reliability testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, embedded software, industrial design, product teams, manufacturing, and overseas suppliers.
• Generate novel ideas and prototype new product concepts and architectures to define our path forward.
