Job summary

WSP USA in the United States is seeking a licensed electrical engineer to lead multi-site design and construction projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, ICC, and IECC codes, QA/QC, and safety standards.

You will oversee electrical infrastructure design, perform load and short circuit studies, develop one-line diagrams, review plans with owners and sub-consultants, manage budgets, and mentor junior team members while supporting project schedules that may require travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Engineer in Training certification.
• 5–7 years of post-education experience delivering design deliverables for large capital projects.
• Proficient with NEC, ICC, and IECC codes and standards.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems using analytical methods.
• Experience coordinating tasks within larger projects and with subcontractors.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and lead junior team members with QA/QC discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex construction projects, review electrical design plans for compliance and data integrity.
• Apply high‑level electrical engineering techniques across concept to operation phases.
• Prepare and review calculations, one‑line diagrams, and protective relay coordination.
• Lead budgets, hours, and supplier coordination, ensuring project performance.
• Coordinate with owners, other disciplines, and sub‑consultants on plans and specifications.
• Develop comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
