Job summary

WSP USA seeks a skilled electrical engineer to support multi-site and large-scale projects across utilities, healthcare, and commercial sectors. You will lead design efforts, perform calculations, and coordinate with owners and sub-consultants to deliver safe, code-compliant infrastructure.

Responsibilities cover concept to construction, QA/QC adherence, and producing technical reports while staying current with evolving electrical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Engineer in Training Certification preferred.
• Proficient with NEC, ICC, IECC codes.
• Ability to manage tasks within larger projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex new construction, renovation, and electrical infrastructure projects including review and approval of electrical infrastructure design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable codes.
• Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques for concept development, preliminary design, final design, procurement, construction, and operation.
• Plan and incorporate future-ready techniques and operating strategies in electrical design requirements.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, grounding touch and step potentials, short circuit study, and protective relaying.
• Lead MEP engineering projects including budgets, hours, expenses, supervising subcontractors, and material quantities.
