Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineer III in California. You’ll lead engineers and designers on high-profile electrical projects, and may serve as Engineer of Record.

Expect oversight of submittals and cross-discipline coordination with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical teams. You will guide design calculations, prepare diagrams, and support commissioning while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and energy conservation.
• PE license required for US-based practice.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience; on-site field experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on projects or initiative.
• May be the Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Review and process equipment and system submittals; coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical trades.
• Develop designs for power, lighting, and auxiliary systems; prepare single-line diagrams and protective device coordination.
• Assist with value engineering, design documentation, specifications, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with city/state officials and outside agencies to obtain approvals.
