Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking a senior Engineer III to provide technical engineering leadership, ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes, and mentor staff.

You will oversee design and coordination across architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical trades, with field visits and potential Engineer of Record responsibilities on select projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience.
• One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged.
• Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required.
• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative.
• May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned.
• Supervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals.
• Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades.
• Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams and equipment elevations.
• Supervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies.
• Visit job sites to field survey existing electrical conditions.
• Develop a complete and accurate sequence of operations for all designed systems.
• Prepare documentation for the commissioning of a building.
• Oversee plans and specifications, establish schedules, and coordinate electrical engineering work.
