Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an experienced Engineer III in Texas to lead electrical design activities on major projects. You will guide a team of engineers and designers, ensure compliance with codes, and coordinate across architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical trades.

Field surveys and commissioning input are part of the role. The ideal candidate brings a PE license, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, and at least five years of engineering experience, with strong Autodesk and office

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects including power distribution, lighting, grounding, energy conservation, value engineering, applicable codes, standards.
• Proficient in Autodesk, Microsoft Office, Illumination software, and Oracle software relevant to Engineering Productivity.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under time pressure with a proactive, collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on projects or initiatives.
• May serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Supervise submittals and ensure compliance with specs and codes.
• Coordinate electrical, architectural, mechanical, and plumbing trades.
• Prepare designs for power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Create power-system single-line diagrams and perform feeder sizing and equipment elevations.
• Conduct short circuit and arc flash studies, and coordination analysis.
• Perform voltage drop, voltage droop, and Neher–McGrath calculations.
• Oversee project specifications and equipment procurement.
• Visit job sites for field surveys and verification.
• Use engineering tools to analyze loads, lighting levels, and commissioning tests.
• Lead value engineering exercises to optimize construction costs.
• Attend design team meetings and coordinate with client and contractors.
• Work with Project Manager to align design with budget and deliverables.
• Resolve drawing interpretation conflicts and interface problems during installation.
• Prepare commissioning documentation for buildings.
• Ensure completion of responsibilities while adapting to project scope changes.
