Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in Phoenix seeks an Electrical Engineer III to lead engineering teams on high-profile construction projects.

You will mentor designers, review submittals, and ensure compliance with codes and project standards while coordinating with architects, structural, and mechanical trades. The role requires a BS in engineering, at least 5 years of experience, US Professional Engineer licensure, and on-site field experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction sciences.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience.
• US-based Professional Engineer licensure is required.
• On-site field experience strongly encouraged.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects such as power distribution, lighting, grounding, and energy conservation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative.
• May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned.
• Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades.
• Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, and perform short circuit and coordination studies.
• Visit job sites to field survey existing electrical conditions.
• Analyze loads, lighting levels, and short circuit currents; perform value engineering.
