Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking an Engineer III to provide senior-level engineering expertise for high-profile electrical projects in Texas. You will mentor staff, oversee design development for power, lighting, and auxiliary systems, and coordinate across architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged.
• Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative.
• May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned.
• Supervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals.
• Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades.
• Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over-current protection sizing, and equipment elevations.
• Supervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies.
• Visit job sites to field survey existing electrical conditions.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors during project installation.
• Develop a complete and accurate sequence of operations for all designed systems.
• Working knowledge of equipment and system testing and commissioning.
