Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking an experienced Engineer III to provide technical engineering information and ensure compliance with project requirements and codes. This senior role includes mentoring staff and coordinating with multiple trades to deliver high-quality electrical systems.

You will oversee design work, perform complex calculations, and interface with clients and design teams to meet schedules and budgets. A PE license and on-site experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience
• One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged
• Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required
• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative.
• May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned.
• Supervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals.
• Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades.
• Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations.
• Supervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies.
• Supervise or conduct distribution analysis, including voltage drop, voltage droop, and underground heat effect (Neher-McGrath) calculations.
