Job summary

Rosendin Electric seeks a senior Engineer III to lead technical engineering efforts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards while mentoring staff on large electrical projects.

The role involves coordinating with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical trades, reviewing submittals, and developing design content from power to distribution diagrams. On-site field experience and PE licensure are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience
• One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged
• Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required
• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or initiative
• May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned
• Supervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals
• Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades
• Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems
• Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations
• Supervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies
• Supervise or conduct distribution analysis, including voltage drop, voltage droop, and underground heat effect (Neher-McGrath) calculations
