Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in San Diego, CA to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for complex building projects.

As a senior member of our engineering team, you will provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and collaborate with clients, architects, and construction partners to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable buildings. The role offers a hybrid work environment with two in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with building and electrical codes.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Revit experience.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Drive project execution from concept through construction administration.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Act as the Engineer of Record, leading technical communication with clients.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring a strong engineering team.
• Support and refine Glumac's technical standards, implementing best practices in the local office.
• Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, and industry leadership.
