Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our San Francisco, CA team. The role focuses on delivering innovative electrical systems for diverse projects, leveraging BIM and modern design tools within a collaborative environment.

The position supports a hybrid work model with two in-office days per week in San Francisco, requiring candidates to be within commuting distance and eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience as an MEP Designer in the building construction industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of the San Francisco, CA office.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electrical power systems for diverse projects (commercial, education, healthcare, government, etc.).
• Design and specification of power and control systems, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors for a coordinated design.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
• Assist with electrical code research for project-specific issues.
• Support construction administration tasks, including RFIs and submittals.
• Interface with code officials and contractors as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams from concept through construction.
