Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical systems for complex building projects in Los Angeles, CA. The role combines technical leadership with client-facing responsibilities and opportunities to shape sustainable, safe, and efficient facilities.

As a senior member of the team, you will supervise staff, guide project teams, and collaborate with clients, architects, and constructors to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
• Current Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Working knowledge of building and electrical codes.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Revit experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Drive project execution from concept through construction administration.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Act as the Engineer of Record and lead technical communication with clients.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Participate in recruitment and retention to maintain a strong engineering team.
• Support Glumac’s technical standards and implement best practices in the local office.
• Support business development through client engagement, proposals, and industry leadership.
