Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of innovative electrical systems for complex building projects in Los Angeles, CA. The role combines technical leadership with client and project team collaboration to deliver safe, sustainable buildings.

You will mentor junior staff, drive projects from concept to construction, and uphold engineering standards while coordinating with PMs, owners, and regulators.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure/building systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Current Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Experience working with building and electrical codes.
• Experience supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Drive project execution from concept through construction administration.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Act as the Engineer of Record, leading technical communication with clients.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring a strong engineering team.
• Support and refine Glumac’s technical standards, implementing best practices in the local office.
• Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, and industry leadership.
