Job summary
CP Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and mentorship within our electrical team. You will develop project scopes, budgets, and oversee electrical design work for diverse infrastructure projects.
You will review, sign, and seal drawings, and contribute hands-on design as needed. Experience with HVAC, generators, and fire alarm systems is valued as well as SCADA/PLC knowledge. Hybrid/remote options are available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ or eligible via reciprocity.
- 7–10+ years of electrical engineering experience and leadership/mentoring experience.
- Proven ability to review and seal electrical drawings and supervise junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design for power distribution, lighting, and control systems across diverse projects.
- Review and seal drawings, perform load calculations, fault analyses, and arc-flash studies.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complete plan sets and specs.
- Support field and construction phase services, RFIs, submittals, and inspections.
