Job summary

CP Engineers in New Jersey is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and mentoring within our electrical team. This role develops project scopes, budget estimates, and oversees electrical design for a range of commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will review and seal drawings, coordinate with mechanical, civil, and water resources groups, and ensure compliance with IBC, NEC, IEEE.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Maintain active Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
• Minimum 7-10 years of electrical engineering experience, with a track record of leading, mentoring, or supervising other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design for power distribution, lighting, energy, communications, fire alarm, and control systems across projects.
• Review and seal electrical drawings and contribute hands-on design support.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, civil, and water resources teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with IBC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local codes.
