Job summary

RTX, in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design high-speed digital CCAs for secure communication systems. You’ll apply FPGA/processor/memory knowledge and manage design from concept through production, with strong emphasis on SI/PI, DFM/DFT, and testability.

You will collaborate across Systems, Software, and Mechanical Engineering, supporting lifecycle phases from pursuit to factory transition, while maintaining eligibility for a U.S. government clearance.

Qualifications

• Expertise in digital design for multilayer PCBs and DFM/DFT.
• End-to-end circuit card development from concept to validation.
• Proficiency with PCB tools: Xpedition, Allegro, Altium.
• SI/PI analysis experience with HyperLynx/ADS/SPICE.
• STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design high-speed CCAs from requirements through production.
• Optimize signal/power integrity with modeling and testing.
• Apply DTC/DFM/DFT to ensure producible designs.
• Support hardware verification, DV Testing, and RCA.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Mechanical teams.
