Job summary

RTX, based in Huntsville, AL, seeks a qualified engineer to design digital electronic circuits for missile applications. The role emphasizes FPGA hardware, PCIe interfaces, and high-speed electronics in a lab environment on an onsite basis.

The candidate will derive requirements, perform analyses, and guide ECAD teams. A Bachelor's in EE/CE or related STEM is required, with coursework in PCB design and signal integrity. U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM is required.
• Experience or coursework in circuit design, digital electronics, lab coursework, PCB design and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Developing unit and module level requirements derived from system level requirements.
• Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, DDR memory, and interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Performing analysis and testing of FPGA, circuit card, module, and/or unit in a lab setting.
• Guiding ECAD personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
• Design work within given schedule and sometimes defining the schedule.
• Presenting technical data reviews to leadership and guiding junior engineers.
• Design, review, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and CCAs for missile applications.
• Generate PWB layout constraint guidelines and oversee layout and fabrication.
