Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an Electrical Engineer II for RCP Digital Hardware, onsite. You will drive circuit card development from requirements through testing for defense communication systems, using FPGA, DDR, and high-speed interfaces.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, lab verification, and delivering robust hardware for mission-critical platforms. A DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using Xpedition/Altium/Cadence/EAGLE/KiCAD.
• STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities from requirements to schematic capture and layout.
• Design, verify, test and troubleshoot digital hardware for defense communications products.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to meet performance specs.
• Support development of CCAs, test fixtures, and cabling for production.
